A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN SDC / INFECTION CONTROL NURSE As an SDC / Infection Control Nurse at our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating education and training programs for nursing staff within the facility. This role plays a critical role in ensuring the ongoing professional development of nursing personnel, promoting compliance with regulatory requirements, and enhancing the delivery of quality care to residents / patients.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A STAFF DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR / INFECTION CONTROL NURSE
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
- Previous experience in staff development, education, or training preferred.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and educational methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
- Commitment to promoting a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and excellence in patient care.
