Personal Lines Customer Service Representative II
As a Personal Lines Customer Service Representative II, you will be responsible for providing advanced customer service and support to clients with personal insurance policies. Building upon the responsibilities of a Customer Service Representative I, your role will involve handling more complex inquiries, addressing escalated issues, and providing specialized assistance.
Responsibilities:
- First to answer all phone calls, and diligently screen the calls to handle any service tasks that are indicated in this job description.
- Proactively work with Account Managers to take work from their desks that can be handled within your role.
- Process endorsements assigned to you by Account Managers.
- Clearly and effectively communicate to the clients to manage expectations both via the phone and email. This includes taking a proactive approach.
- Confer with customers to provide detailed information about products and services, quote new business, process renewals and/or cancel accounts, take payments, and provide requested documentation.
- Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, comments, and actions taken in the agency management system.
- Collaborate with team members, mentor staff, provide expertise and answer questions, and participate in formal and informal meetings as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Active Minnesota Property & Casualty License, or willingness to obtain the license within 90 days of employment
- Any personal lines insurance experience a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with Applied Epic a plus; will consider other agency management systems
- Have excellent time management skills with a personal accountability mindset as well as technology and computer proficiency, including agency management systems, rating tools, and carrier website navigation.
- Demonstrate strong customer focus and excellent phone manners; display strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess a sense of urgency, attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, and follow-up skills, and the ability to handle difficult situations with customers and solve complex problems without direct supervision.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm
