The ideal candidate will have experience in managing Glass, Glazing and Architectural metal project(s) from start to finish. This candidate will be able to create a plan of action which will consider a fixed timeline and evaluate risks. This individual should also have experience working with cross departmental teams and be an effective communicator.
As a Project Manager, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Essential Functions
· Responsible for the management, profitability and on time completion of assigned projects.
· Manage and direct projects including internal teams consisting of any of the following: Assistant Project Manager(s), Project Coordinators.
· Coordinate and cooperate with departments and positions including Estimator(s), Superintendent(s), Foremen, Shop and Shipping department, Administration department, Engineering department and Accounting department.
· Contract review, submittals, material take offs, estimating, change order management, scheduling, document control and problem solving.
· Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.
· Devise the project work plans and make revisions as and when need arises.
· Periodic inspection of construction sites.
· Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards.
· Communicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of the project
· Project and control construction costs by collecting and studying information; controlling construction costs
· Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements; setting priorities
· Prepares construction budget by studying building plans; updating specifications; identifying and projecting costs for each elevation.
· Evaluates offers to purchase by costing changes, additions, and site requirements.
· Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price.
· Maintains cost keys and price masters by updating information.
· Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
· Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
· Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
· Maintains continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
· Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
· Create drawings and engineering submittals.
· Use CAD and any other engineering software’s used by the company.
Qualifications and Requirements
· Required to complete paperwork as part of the position procedures. Required to operate a phone, copier/scanner/fax for short lengths of time.
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Experience with construction accounting software.
· Ability to communicate diplomatically, effectively and professionally whether by verbal or written communication.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has supervisory responsibilities over Assistant Project Manager(s) and/or Project Coordinator(s).
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
Required to lift, push, pull, carry/hold up to 30-50 lbs periodically. Required to stoop, bend, kneel, twist, and reach repetitively. Required to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, exempt position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status.
Travel
Travel to and from multiple job sites in Southern California region is a requirement of this position
Required Education and Experience
· Associates Degree and/or Bachelors Degree a plus
· Minimum of 5 years with verifiable experience working in a contract glazing firm
