Distribution Center Maintenance Supervisor
Vestis has an immediate opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor in its Salem, VA Distribution Center
The Maintenance Supervisor ensures a high level of service to Vestis customers through opening and closing the building and ensuring the facility is functional. Primary responsibility is performing and / or overseeing maintenance on all Distribution Center machinery. Manage a staff of maintenance technicians. Utilize proper skilled techniques to assure the safe, efficient operation of all facility machinery. Responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of all necessary reports and paperwork. Document all work performed.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities :
- Maintain all equipment and all facilities.
- Schedule and manage sub-contractors and outside maintenance.
- Manage department employees to include policy adherence, training, coaching and mentoring.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels. Conduct employee evaluations, maintain personnel records, and recommend hiring and disciplinary action of employees as necessary.
- Plans and coordinates the daily activities of department. Adjust work assignments and work flow as necessary.
- Source and order supplies.
- Manage the safety compliance and security of building.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
