Job Responsibilities
- Variety is the spice of life: Cook and prepare a wide array of food items according to production guidelines and standardized recipes as provided by the organization.
- Set the stage: Set up your workstation with all the necessary ingredients and equipment.
- Precision matters: Measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and peel food items with accuracy.
- Equipment expert: Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, and more, as well as safely navigating a variety of utensils, including knives.
- Culinary virtuoso: Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use various cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods.
- Artful presentation: Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines.
- Safety first: Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures. Clean and sanitize working areas, equipment, and utensils to ensure food and environmental safety. Maintain an orderly workstation and participate in team culture by assisting others in sanitization where necessary.
- Customer service champion: Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
- Cash handling: Count, organize, and balance the cash drawer, fill out the cashier slip, and make deposits as required by staffing needs.
- Pride in appearance: adhere to uniform policy and showcase hospitality excellence with proper uniform care.
- Asset security: Ensure the security of company assets.

Qualifications
- Prior culinary experience as a cook or related role is required for the success of this role.
- Proven and validated knowledge of the critical principles of food preparation, cooking technique, food safety regulations, and accurate food handling and storage.
- Must acquire a food safety certification
- Must demonstrate knowledge of math and counting skill.
- Demonstration of strong interpersonal communication skill, both written and verbal.
- Previous experience handling cash and other critical assets is preferred for this role, but not required.
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
