POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/MAJOR DUTIES
Checks Production Work Schedule for job assignment and work reporting time.
When job assignment is BREWMAKER/SCALER, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Checking production schedule and formulas.
- Scaling and staging ingredients.
- Making sponge slurry, yeast slurry and brew.
- Performing start-up/shutdown sanitation and operator's preventive maintenance.
- Ensuring that work area is clean and organized.
- Performing other duties as directed by supervision.
When job assignment is MIXER OPERATOR, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Checking and maintaining production schedule.
- Scaling ingredients.
- Loading, operating and unloading mixer(s).
- Operating dough pump.
- Performing start-up/shutdown sanitation and operator's preventive maintenance.
- Ensuring that work area is clean and organized.
- Performing other duties as directed by supervision.
When job assignment is DIVIDER OPERATOR, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Checking posted scaling weights and equipment standards.
- Adjusting and operating one pocket and six pocket dividers.
- Adjusting and operating rounder.
- Adjusting and operating overhead proofer.
- Performing start-up/shut down sanitation and operator's preventive maintenance.
- Ensuring that work area is clean and organized.
When job assignment is SHEETER/MOULDER OPERATOR, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Checking sheeter/panner standards chart.
- Adjusting, starting and operating sheeter, moulder, panner equipment and flour hopper.
- Setting and maintaining pan guides and space settings.
- Performing start-up/shut down sanitation and operator's preventive maintenance.
- Ensuring that work area is clean and organized.
- Performing other duties as directed by supervision.
When job assignment is PANNER OPERATOR, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Checking standards chart for pan stacker and unstacker.
- Adjusting, starting and operating pan stacker and unstacker and pan conveyors.
- Removing stuck bread from pans.
- Positioning full trucks to pan unstacker and empty trucks to pan stacker.
- Grouping/parking trucks according to pan size.
- Assisting oven operator as required.
- Performing start-up/shutdown sanitation and operator's preventive maintenance.
- Ensuring that work area is clean and organized.
- Performing other duties as directed by supervision.
When job assignment is OVEN OPERATOR, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Checking production schedule and verifying product running order.
- Checking, setting, operating and maintaining proof box according to standards.
- Checking, setting, operating and maintaining oven speed and temperatures according to standards.
- Checking, adjusting and operating depanner according to standards.
- Performing start-up/shutdown sanitation and operator's preventive maintenance.
- Ensuring that work area is clean and organized.
- Performing other duties as directed by supervision.
When job assignment is WRAPPING AREA OPERATOR, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Checking production schedule for product running order.
- Checking pan count sheet for product quantity.
- Checking production wrap count sheet for bag types.
- Setting and operating slicer, bagger and tier equipment.
- Performing quality control inspection of finished product.
- Ensuring that product is loaded correctly.
- Performing start-up/shut down sanitation and operator's preventive maintenance.
- Ensuring that work area is clean and organized.
- Performing other duties as directed by supervision.
When job assignment is BREAKPERSON responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performing any of the above job assignments to provide scheduled breaks for Production Technicians on assigned shift.
- Performing other duties as directed by supervision.
When job assignment is SPONGE MIXER responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Checking and maintaining production schedule.
- Scaling and staging ingredients.
- Loading, operating and unloading mixer(s).
- Performing startup/shutdown sanitation and operator’s preventive maintenance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to move to all production areas of plant.
- Physical ability to stand a minimum of 8 hours to a maximum of 16 hours on a daily basis.
- Ability to climb fixed and portable ladders to a height of (20) feet
- Ability to stoop and bend while lifting weights up to (50) lbs
- Ability to climb onto and crawl under machinery as required.
- Ability to view product at all work stations and determine adherence to quality control standards (size, shape, color, cut, etc.)
- Ability to distinguish color coded equipment, operating controls, labels, alarms and signs.
- Ability to hear and distinguish audible alarms.
- Hearing, vision and smell facilities sufficient to detect malfunctions in applicable equipment.
- Must have ability to read and comprehend production schedules, formula sheets, etc. and record information applicable to position.
- Must meet/maintain CDC Food Handling Requirements and other governmental and/or customer requirements.
- Ability to read, comprehend and practice necessary safety procedures, signs, etc.
- Ability to wear and use approved, applicable safety equipment, as needed.
- Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance polcies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
- One or more years experience as a Technician and/or formal training or experience. Experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning; welding, electronics, electrical repairs, industrial equipment installations, alignment, start-up repairs, etc.
DESIRED EDUCATION
- High School diploma or equivalency plus additional no less than a 9/12 month vocational / technical certification courses. Equivalent military training, other related technical training, or 45 earned hours or more years of college education may be substituted for Vocational Technical Training.
