JMU DINING STUDENT PHOTO/VIDEO AMBASSADOR

The Photography & Videography ambassador will assist the JMU Dining marketing team in curating video and photography content to represent our brand and provide exceptional experiences through student engagement. They will be responsible for creating content that will be for use in various areas including web, social media, YouTube, and other potential platforms. This role involves working closely with a Marketing Coordinator, senior leadership, and other dining employees to plan, create, and edit content that captures and communicates JMU Dining?s story.

• Job Responsibilities
• Capture and edit photo and video content for social media posts, websites, marketing collateral, and other marketing needs.
• Support communications and marketing goals by creatively documenting dining events, promotions, programs
• Understand the company?s vision, mission, goals, products, and services to represent the brand?s voice and personality.
• Works with the coordinator on a variety of interactions where we need to capture material that develops into captivating and concrete storytelling.
• Support the development and implementation of internal marketing strategies to drive meal plan sales, increase engagement, promote thought leadership, and develop brand awareness

• Qualifications
• Previous and proficiency with camera / video equipment and software.
• Comfortable in a customer-facing role, and confidently interacts with people face to face
• Has experience photographing food, people, events and all things dining related.
• Passionate about story telling through photography
• Likes to have fun at work and demonstrates a sales-competitive nature
• Background and interest in the following areas of expertise is a plus : marketing, photography, videography, and customer service
• Desire to actively engage with guests to capture creative an authentic dining experience.
• Works well independently, self-motivated, and works well with a team
• Strong communicator with managers, team members, customers, and parents
• Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize work tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a team player attitude, be dependable, reliable, and has excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to respond quickly to issues at hand with a resolution while maintaining composure.
• Physical Demands : Specific physical characteristics and abilities are required to perform the work, such as agility, dexterity, and long periods of walking, standing, bending, carrying, or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 25 pounds or more.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and / or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and / or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
