Job Summary
Cook at Cedar Pass Lodge & Restaurant in Badlands National Park. Assist with food preparation and cooking according to standardized recipes. Ensure excellent customer service and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
- Safely use utensils including knives and operate equipment like ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers
- Bake, roast, broil, steam, and cook meat, vegetables, and other foods using various methods
- Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests and co-workers
Requirements
- Experience as a cook or in a related role required
- Validated knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations
- Ability to acquire food safety certification
- Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
- Interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
