Key Responsibilities
As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes. This includes:
- Setting up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- Measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
- Operating equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
- Baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, and using a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
- Arranging, garnishing, and portioning food according to established guidelines
- Properly storing food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Ensuring security of company assets
Requirements
- Validated knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations
- Must be able to acquire food safety certification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
