Job Overview :
Performs work as part of a maintenance team in an industrial laundry facility. Follows the Market Center’s preventive maintenance schedule in accordance with the equipment manufacturer’s recommendation / industry accepted best practices for all plant equipment. Supports an environment of continuous improvement by making / implementing suggestions / recommendations by manager. Maintain compliance with all company safety initiatives. Maintain compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws and regulation that affect the Market Center operations.
Responsibilities / Essential Functions :
Repair carts by replacing wheels and welding, as necessary.
Painting using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
Pressure wash floors, walls, and equipment.
Perform other duties as required or assigned by management.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Assist Maintenance Techs with timely repair equipment.
Assist Maintenance Techs with proper treatment of wastewater.
Must be able to operate Forklift and Scissor Lift.
Must be able to do landscaping / yard work and operate lawn equipment.
Must be able to routinely lift and maneuver a minimum of 25 pounds without assistance. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time on concrete floor.
Must be able to occasionally lift and maneuver 50 pounds.
Experience / Qualifications :
Prior experience in maintenance preferred but not required.
Prior experience working in an industrial environment a plus.
Working Environment / Safety Requirements / Physical Requirements :
Exposure to adverse temperatures which may include extreme hot or cold.
The following physical activities are required : lifting, reaching, bending, walking, sitting, standing, pushing, and pulling.
Must be able to routinely lift and maneuver a minimum of 25 lbs. without assistance.
Tight deadlines that may require overtime are required.
Overtime may be required.
Notification of overtime may occur the same day that the overtime is required.
