Job Description
The Operations Manager, reporting to the General Manager, is responsible for ensuring the quality of Aramark?s products and services meet or exceed customer expectations. The opportunity will focus on developing team members, identifying ways to increase the quality of customer service, implementing best practices across all levels, and responsible for operations of retail location. The Operations Manager must ensure efficient operations for onsite gift shop in line with Aramark?s policies, procedures, and client contract. Responsibility for overall store merchandising, product inventory, purchasing, and other needs to fulfill operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Leads a team that provides operational expertise in contracted services while providing hands-on execution management of operations.
- Builds, develops, and leads a management team and staff capable of carrying out organizational objectives.
- Meet and exceed the expectations of our customers and clients
- Supervise and monitor team members to ensure a high level of guest service is delivered at all times. Empower staff to answer questions and make appropriate decisions.
- Lead periodic physical inventories as well as potential count discrepancies
- Maintain the highest level of Customer Service and Integrity by understanding all aspects of hospitality
- Directly participate and support all Operations of the Front Office, Housekeeping, Kitchen, and Retail areas.
- Responsible for many of the non-selling aspects of the retail operation including inventory management, warehouse management, receiving, ticketing and distribution
- Meet with the 2nd shift team to review issues, disseminate information and formulate a plan of action each week.
- Maintain constant knowledge of current and future functions and events.
- Responsible for clear and timely communications relative to all building Operations.
- Handle all discipline issues within the department, prepare documentation and meet with employees.
- Address and resolve any customer issues
- Verify accountability report of financial transactions to include sales and transfers of merchandise to and from the stores
- Ensure all employees are in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth in the employee handbook.

Qualifications
- 1 to 5 years experience in operations management in a related field
- Requires a bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience
- High energy level that is communicated to the team and exhibits a proven track record for growing business
- Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to lead in a diverse environment with a focus on client and guest service
- Candidates must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
