Job Description
The Level II Guide is a critical role that requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a deep understanding of cultural, historical, and natural resources. The guide will provide support to guests in an outdoor environment, leading organized and educational excursions while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads guests on educational excursions, providing orientation and necessary equipment concerns.
- Greet guests, ensure they understand area regulations, safety procedures, and resource protection.
- Adheres to safety policies and procedures, guaranteeing guest safety.
- Maintains knowledge of local ecology, geology, history, and culture to provide information and answer guests' questions.
- Provides interpretation in various settings, choreographing tours to engage visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
- Maintains excellent customer service and a positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, and coworkers.
Qualifications:
- Must have experience guiding in the same or related environment.
- Multi-lingual skills are a plus.
- Training in First Aid protocols, such as Wilderness First Responder, is preferred.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
