Key Responsibilities
Bakers in this role are responsible for preparing a wide variety of food items according to production guidelines and standardized recipes. This involves setting up workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment, measuring and mixing ingredients, operating various pieces of equipment such as ovens, stoves, and mixers, and ensuring that food safety policies and procedures are followed at all times. Bakers must also maintain a clean and organized workspace, wash and sanitize equipment and utensils, and interact effectively with coworkers and supervisors to meet productivity and quality standards.
Bakers may also be required to participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance their skills and stay up-to-date with new technologies and techniques. They must be able to lift, push, pull, and bend frequently throughout the workday, and wear uniforms and/or use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
