We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. Duties

• Safely operate vehicles, including those with manual transmission, to deliver goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling and care during transport.
• Utilize equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks for efficient loading and unloading of cargo.
• Follow assigned routes for timely deliveries while maintaining accurate records of deliveries made.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during pickups and deliveries.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met.
• Assist in moving items as needed, including heavy lifting when required.

Skills

• Proficient in driving various types of vehicles, including those with manual transmission.
• Strong customer service skills to enhance client satisfaction during interactions.
• Experience in courier services or similar roles is preferred.
• Ability to load and unload products safely, utilizing appropriate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Capable of performing heavy lifting tasks as necessary for the role.
• Familiarity with route driving and navigation skills to ensure timely deliveries.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and vehicle maintenance.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Import Warehouse Employee Non-CDL Driver is responsible for the efficient handling, transportation, and delivery of goods within the warehouse and to various destinations. This role combines warehouse duties with driving responsibilities, ensuring the smooth operation of import logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Transportation of Goods

· Safely transport goods from the warehouse to designated locations using non-CDL vehicles.

· Load and unload goods from delivery vans or trucks, ensuring secure and damage-free handling.

• Warehouse Operations

· Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing inventory within the warehouse.

· Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.

• Inventory Management

· Verify the quantity and quality of received products and maintain accurate inventory records.

· Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.

• Vehicle Maintenance

· Perform routine maintenance checks on delivery vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.

· Keep delivery vehicles clean and well-maintained.

• Safety Compliance

· Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while performing warehouse and driving duties.

· Follow traffic laws and road regulations during deliveries.

• Coordination and Communication

· Coordinate with warehouse staff to plan and execute deliveries and pick-ups.

· Communicate effectively with customers to confirm delivery details and obtain necessary signatures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving heavy items.
• Capability to work in various weather conditions and environments.

Additional Information

• Must be over age 26 and have experience driving bobtail and gooseneck trailers.
• Knowledge of securing loads and ensuring safe transportation.
