Guest Services Sales Agent

Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.25/hr

Status: Full-Time, Seasonal (non-exempt)

The Guest Services team at Arapahoe Basin is committed to providing excellent customer service to provide a day worth repeating to every guest we interact with.

As a Guest Services Sales Agent & Gate Monitor at Arapahoe Basin, you will participate in all point of sale and guest-related operations within the Guest Services Building, Ticket and Season Pass Offices, Winter Sports Building, Outdoor Ticket kiosk, and Lift Monitoring Gates. This role is the “face” of Arapahoe Basin and will handle all types of guest concerns in a friendly and efficient manner.

Sales Agent & Gate Monitor I Responsibilities:

• Provides excellent customer service to all A-Basin guests to provide “a day worth repeating”.
• Has knowledge of general A-Basin facts, terrain status, event information, and all products for sale.
• Answers all employee and guest questions regarding all aspects of Guest Services and Arapahoe Basin.
• Will use a point-of-sales application to sell various products such as lift tickets & season passes.
• Responsible for monitoring the outdoor lift ticket fulfillment kiosk; greeting and assisting guests in the use of the kiosk.
• Has the opportunity to assist in outdoor Gate Monitoring Operation
• Helps facilitate storage, tracking, and distribution of lost & found items.
• Responsible for adhering to Guest Services Cash Handling procedures.
• Responsible for closing individual points of sale, including the reconciliation of a cash drawer and providing audit backup at the end of each shift.
• Keep the station clean and organized.
• Stock office supplies.
• Help maintain all office equipment.
• Promote the Arapahoe Basin Vibe.
• Other duties as assigned.

Sales Agent & Gate Monitor II Responsibilities: (Staring Pay: $20.50)

• Responsible for all Sales Agent & Gate Monitor I duties
• Must be a full-time employee. Part-time employees are eligible to be promoted to Sales Agent & Gate Monitor II if they have had previous full-time Arapahoe Basin Guest Services experience and are fully trained.
• Will use a point-of-sales application to sell additional products such as Rental Packages, Snowsports Packages, Beach Reservations, and Special Events.
• Will answer phones, emails, and guest requests.
• Will work outdoors monitoring scanning gates at Black Mountain Express, Palavicini, and Lenawee Lifts (Lenawee is optional if the applicant does not ski or ride).

Sales Agent & Gate Monitor III Responsibilities: (Staring Pay: $21.00)

• Responsible for all Sales Agent & Gate Monitor I & II responsibilities
• Has been promoted to Sales Agent & Gate Monitor II and has completed at least one full winter season in Guest Services
• Assists Management team with special projects
• Is a keyholder that is trained in Guest Services opening procedures
• Assists Guest Services Supervisors on daily close procedures

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Must have the dexterity and the ability to use both hands.
• Ability to withstand high-altitude conditions at all times.

• Must be available on weekends and holidays.

Work Environment:

• This is a guest-facing position
• This position works indoors and outdoors
• All work is done at an altitude over 10k feet in elevation.
