What we are looking for:
- An associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent experience.
- SHRM/HRCI certification preferred.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements and Michigan state-specific laws related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal counsel as needed/required.
- 10 years of HR experience, 5 of which is in a leadership/manager role in a manufacturing environment.
- SAP SuccessFactors and ADP experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems impacting people, processes, and program issues, along with excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

In this role, you would:
- Manage and oversee all Human Resource functions for the site.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, working to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manages the hourly work system (position level advancement structure, processes, and consistency).
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
- Partner with L&D Team to identify training needs and develop training plans and programs.
- Evaluate and monitor the success of training programs, and follow-up to ensure training objectives are met.
