How does this role fit into the success of our organization?
The Training Content Developer position is located at our Corporate Office in Dunwoody, GA and reports to the Learning and Development Manager. This role is Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote).
Role Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth job-task analysis and / or needs assessment to identify learning objectives, and to determine training solutions.
- Create engaging learning activities (both classroom and e-learning) and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer of knowledge
- Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience's training needs
- State instructional end goals and create content that matches them
- Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface, and the finished product
- Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
- Conduct regular internal reviews of course content to ensure accuracy and relevancy.
- Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
- Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
- Create supporting material / media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
- Decide on the criteria used to judge learner's performance and develop assessment instruments
- Support the training team with content launching through the company Learning Management System. (Success Factors)
- Act as the technical support liaison for the company Learning Management System (Success Factors)
What are we looking for?
Bachelor's or Master's degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar
Proven working experience in content development or instructional design and with instructional technology, Articulate Storyline and Rise preferably
Visual design skills (Adobe, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard
