How does this role fit into the success of our organization?
- An operator is a crucial part of the operation with a great deal of responsibility in making product within specification, good quality and assures that the machine stays running with minimal downtime and waste to meet and or exceed our customer’s expectations.
- Operates treating machine(s) that produce furniture and décor papers.
- Regulates machine speed, flow, volume, and temperature.
- Stops or resets machine when malfunction occurs and clears machine jams.
- Performs tests and evaluates product. Verifies and records product weights or measurements to ensure quality standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Coach or Manufacturing Manager.
- Inspects and removes defective product as required.
- Adjusts machine tension, pressure and machine components according to specifics of product.
What are we looking for?
High school diploma or GED, additional education a plus
Ability to read, analyze and interpret business documentation, SOPs, and job descriptions.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Collaboration is key to Arauco’s success. This role requires collaboration with teams, management, clients, customers, and vendors in a professional manner to be successful.
Ability to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders, and navigating around equipment and machinery.
Ability to bend, stoop, and crouch as necessary to inspect and maintain equipment.
Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform physical tasks that involve lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects.
Endurance to stand and walk for extended periods, often in environments with dust, chemicals, high noise levels and varying temperatures
