Bookkeeper

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This role is essential for supporting the financial health of our organization and requires a strong understanding of accounting practices and software.

Duties

• Maintain and update financial records in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist in budgeting processes and provide financial analysis as needed.
• Prepare tax documents and assist with public accounting tasks during tax season.
• Utilize accounting software, including Quicken, to manage financial data efficiently.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and reporting needs.

Skills

• Proficient in technical accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with various accounting software applications, including Quicken.
• Strong understanding of budgeting processes and financial analysis techniques.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and public accounting standards is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey financial information to stakeholders.

Pay: $25.90 - $27.48 per hour
