MicroVision Redmond is looking for an Applications Engineer who will support new and existing customers in North America with its LiDAR and LiDAR-related hardware and software products. In this role you will understand the customers’ use of our products and provide technical support to resolve difficulties, and you will provide feedback on product requirements, features, and use cases to our technical team. The ideal candidate is a skilled problem-solver, a strong communicator, and a patient, hands-on engineer.
MicroVision offers flexible work schedule that could include a hybrid schedule of onsite and remote work subject to team and business needs. You must live and reside within a commuting distance from MicroVision's Redmond, WA office.
Compensation:
The pay range for this Washington-based position is $110,000 – 130,000 per year. Exact compensation offers will vary based on skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for a new hire equity grant and/or a performance-based equity incentive plan.
This sales role includes an annual target incentive range of 15% of the annual base salary.

Responsibilities:
- Promote MicroVision products and solutions to customers in Automotive, Industrial, Robotics, and Smart Infrastructure applications. This includes onboarding new customer projects, optimizing configurations, and diagnosing and correcting hardware, software, and connectivity problems
- Drive growth with select customers as the single point contact for Sales, be the first responder to customer technical queries, and provide field support as needed
- Cultivate and close direct sales of MicroVision hardware and software products
- Act as the voice of the customer (VoC)
- Communicate customer technical and commercial requirements to MicroVision management
- Communicate issues/bugs to engineering teams and follow through until there is a resolution
- Lead onsite and remote support for an Automotive OEM to ensure ADAS milestones are met
- Lead the technical responses in RFIs & RFQs for Automotive opportunities
- Collaborating cross functionally with business development, engineering, and customers
- Generating revenue by promoting products at trade shows and other events
- Develop an understanding of the technical, commercial, and market landscape for 3D sensors, including complementary sensors such as cameras and how they can be integrated
- Be a conduit for customer requirements and use cases to the technical team
- Be the primary member of the Sales team for customer demos
- BS in Engineering
- 3-5 years of previous work experience in the automotive industry as a system test or applications engineer or similar role; lidar, camera, or sensor experience preferred
- Hands-on engineer with an array of electromechanical and software skills
- Skilled at designing experiments, methodical data collection, and data analysis
- Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills; customer-oriented
