Handles other more routine requests from agents and internal customers to relieve the underwriter of less complex inquiries and activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides timely, courteous and efficient service regarding underwriting and related matters to agents and internal customers.
Handles more routine underwriting email & phone inquiries, answering questions or reviewing for file documentation as needed, according to established procedures.
Within authority processes/approves endorsements according to procedures, forwarding exceptions to an Underwriter for approval or additional processing.
Reviews renewal or rewrite policies for changes in risk according to established procedures, referring exceptions to an Underwriter for approval or additional processing.
Requests additional or missing information on applications or endorsements from agents or brokers within established guidelines.
Prepares renewals for processing: cross-references supporting lines, gathering/reviewing loss experience, running building valuations and more.
Orders loss control inspections when requested by Underwriter.
Inquires for and reviews data from various internal and external underwriting sources & referring information to the underwriter for reference.
Documents renewals according to procedures.
Performs other related work and assigned special projects as required or requested.
Requirements:
Some work experience in PL or CL preferred but not required.
Sound time management and detail oriented.
Good customer service, communication and collaborative skills
The candidate will be hired at the right level based on skills/experience.
