What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler position at ARBOC?
ARBOC is North America's low-floor, body-on-chassis ("cutaway") and mid-size bus leader serving transit, paratransit, and shuttle applications. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Essential Duties:
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Must be able to perform all work allocated
- Must be able to work from blueprints, process sheets and/or instructions.
- Must be able to read a tape measure and have basic math skills.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
Experience with Camera & Component Hook up preferred.
Skills and Experience:
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with general assembly
- Familiarity with power tools.
- Computer and organizational skills.
- Have good interpersonal and communications skills.
- Previous experience with 5S and lean manufacturing would be considered an asset.
- Goal orientated and motivated to achieve tasks within set timelines.
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Must be able to lift and/or move items over 25lbs.
