The Electrical Foreman will lead a team of electricians, ensuring the successful completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of electricians, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and evaluating performance.
- Ability to plan at least 3 weeks in advance for materials and manpower according to the schedule and plans.
- Coordinate and oversee electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide the team's work.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to plan and execute electrical projects effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for the team.
- Monitor the quality of work and conduct regular inspections to ensure that installations meet industry standards and specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and any changes made during the construction process.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, providing solutions and implementing repairs as needed.
- Order and manage the inventory of materials, tools, and equipment required for various projects.
- Train and mentor apprentice electricians, promoting skill development and career growth within the team. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to enhance the team's performance and knowledge.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical work is preferred.
- Valid electrical journeyman or master's license.
- Proven experience as a commercial/industrial Electrical Foreman or similar leadership role in the electrical industry.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Proficient in using electrical tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
