Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Foreman to oversee and manage our electrical projects from 1MM-5MM. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of electrical systems, strong leadership abilities, and excellent organizational skills. The Electrical Foreman will lead a team of electricians, ensuring the successful completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of electricians, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and evaluating performance.
Ability to plan at least 3 weeks in advance for materials and manpower according to the schedule and plans.
Coordinate and oversee electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide the team's work.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to plan and execute electrical projects effectively.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for the team.
Monitor the quality of work and conduct regular inspections to ensure that installations meet industry standards and specifications.
Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and any changes made during the construction process.
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, providing solutions and implementing repairs as needed.
Order and manage the inventory of materials, tools, and equipment required for various projects.
Train and mentor apprentice electricians, promoting skill development and career growth within the team.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to enhance the team's performance and knowledge.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical work is preferred.
Valid electrical journeyman or master's license.
Proven experience as a commercial / industrial Electrical Foreman or similar leadership role in the electrical industry.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
Proficient in using electrical tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Physical stamina and ability to work in various conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
