Job Title: Teller
Welcome members as they arrive to the credit union, answering questions and directing them to the appropriate department. Service their financial needs and transaction requests as they relate to aspects of their accounts, including checking/savings accounts, loans, and account services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide world-class service in accordance with the credit union's core values and service promise.
- Greet members and adhere to the service guidelines listed in the Perfect Hour for tellers.
- Service member's financial needs and process account transactions with a high level of accuracy.
- Take proactive ownership of all members you assist, serving as their primary contact, finding answers and solutions, and serving as their advocate.
- Investigate and reconcile member questions/concerns with regard to their accounts or services.
- Maintain cash drawer within established levels and ensure accurate balancing.
- Follow all credit union policies, procedures, and requirements, as well as all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- Assist members with loan questions and the loan application process.
- Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, using a warm hand-over when transferring phone calls.
- Mentor, encourage, and coach others to foster a supportive work environment.
- Exemplify the credit union's core values, service promise, and World Standard service.
- Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of the credit union's products and services.
- Serve as a team player with a positive attitude and flexibility.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Cash handling experience.
- Financial services industry experience.
- Service/sales experience desired.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong computer and application skills.
- Necessary verbal and written communication and grammar skills.
- Ability to be bonded.
- Ability to successfully organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to keep up with a busy workflow.
