What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medication Aide position at Arbor Senior Living?
Arbor Senior Living is hiring for a compassionate individual to join our long-term care facility as a Medication Aide. The ideal candidate is concerned with the health and well-being of the patients, shows initiative and creativity when facing challenges, and has prior experience working in a long term care facility. Our Medication Aide must be capable of coordinating patient medication intake and reviewing records to ensure accuracy. Follow policy and procedures and documentation. Our medication aide work 12 hour shifts, 3 days a week plus on call occasionally. We are in need of an individual that has great attendance and willing to be a part of an awesome team!! Pre-Dementia, Pre-Infection Control. Oregon Food Handlers and First Aid are required.
Responsibilities:
- Understand how to prepare and dispense medications.
- Learn about the long-term care facility, including its rules and policies.
- Understand the resident's medical needs, mental status, and moods.
- Follow Oregon Laws pertaining to medication disbursement and documentation
- Effectively communicate with residents, their families, doctors, and other staff members.
- Be a leader and ensure all shift tasks are completed
- Understand the order of daily tasks performed at a Memory Care Community.
- Interact with residents and their families in a professional manner.
- Attendance and Punctuality
SCHEDULE:
Thursdays to Saturdays 7am - 7pm Wednesdays 7am - 1pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
