What you'll do
About the Role
As a Dietary Aide at Arbor Trace you will play a crucial role in ensuring that residents receive nutritious and appetizing meals that cater to their dietary needs. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the preparation and serving of meals, while also maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. You will work closely with the dietary team to follow specific dietary guidelines and meal plans tailored to each resident’s health requirements. This position requires a compassionate approach, as you will interact with residents and help create a positive dining experience. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the overall well-being and satisfaction of our residents, making a significant impact on their quality of life.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to established dietary guidelines.
- Ensure that all food is presented in an appealing manner and meets the dietary needs of residents.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Follow written and oral instructions from the dietary manager and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Engage with residents during meal times to promote a welcoming and friendly dining atmosphere.
Our ideal candidate
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately.
- Experience in a food service or dietary role, preferably in an assisted living or healthcare setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in food safety or sanitation.
- Previous experience working with elderly populations or in a long-term care facility.
