Duties

- Develop, implement, and manage budgets related to food services and dietary operations.
- Create and evaluate care plans based on individual dietary needs, preferences, and medical conditions.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess the nutritional status of residents or patients.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding food safety and sanitation.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive dietary support as part of patient care.
- Maintain knowledge of physiology and dietetics to inform meal planning and nutritional education.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing food costs effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a dietary or food service environment.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting practices related to food service operations.
- Familiarity with dietetics principles, including nutrition assessment and meal planning.
- Ability to manage staff effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with healthcare teams and staff supervision.
- Understanding of physiology as it relates to nutrition and health outcomes.
- Certification in dietary management or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
