What are the responsibilities and job description for the CBRF Caregiver - Resident Assistant position at Arbor Village Inc?
The Resident Assistant performs a variety of assistive care duties, under the direct supervision of the Administrator or Assistant Administrator to ensure the resident's Individual Service Plan (ISP) is being followed. Encourages residents to maintain their independence, assist and guides residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as necessary. The Resident Assistant works independently, using sound judgement in the provision of personal and medical care, activities, and housekeeping/laundry services as scheduled. Must maintain a caring attitude towards residents at all times and be capable of good judgement in all situations.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Assists with ADL’s, provides direct care to residents, following the resident's assessment and ISP as necessary.
- Gives or assists with personal cares including but not limited to hygiene, oral care, showers, sponge baths, tub baths, shampoos and sets, nail and skin care.
- Assists with toileting as necessary, including care of incontinent residents.
- Demonstrates interpersonal skills to successfully interact with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and community and government agencies
- Takes vital signs as directed by Administrator and Assistant Administrator
- Reports observations to Administrator and Assistant Administrator and documents appropriately.
- Maintains confidentiality of resident’s records including identity, behavior and medical conditions.
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment, including performing house cleaning duties
- Washes, folds and puts away laundry, distributes to appropriate residents.
SHIFT AVAILABILITY: Night Shift Full Time
We will provide the proper training for our CBRF Assisted Living Facility
