About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Nursing Service Director to lead our team at Arboreta Healthcare. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing nursing service policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department.
- Plan, develop, and implement nursing service programs and activities in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Maintain a reference library of written nursing material to support the nursing service department.
- Develop and implement a nursing service organization structure.
- Make written and oral reports to the Administrator regarding the operation of the nursing service department.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
- At least 2 years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related healthcare facility.
- A current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this state.
- The ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- The ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
