ArborNature is looking for a full time Equipment Operator. Come join our dynamic crew!
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, compactors, excavators, and forklifts to handle waste materials.
- Load and transport waste to designated areas within the transfer station.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist in directing traffic and guiding customers to proper disposal areas.
- Identify and report hazardous or prohibited waste materials.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the transfer station.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding operational needs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating heavy equipment in a waste management, construction, or similar environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and proper waste handling procedures.
- Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Valid driver’s license
Work Environment:
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Exposure to waste materials, odors, and heavy equipment operation risks.
- Physically demanding role requiring lifting, climbing, and extended periods of machine operation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
