Position Description:
We are seeking a Junior GIS/Remote Sensing and LiDAR Analyst to join our dynamic and innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting projects that involve collecting, processing, and maintaining GIS and LiDAR datasets to advance ArborPro’s capabilities in 2D and 3D spatial analysis. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance workflows, introduce new technologies such as WebGL for high-performance data visualization, and support the integration of LiDAR and photogrammetry into our existing tools.

Job Duties:
- Collect, process, and maintain GIS and LiDAR data for diverse projects.
- Develop, troubleshoot, and deploy aerial and mobile GIS and LiDAR solutions.
- Build, update, and maintain geodatabases and geospatial datasets under guidance.
- Conduct research to locate and source existing geospatial datasets.
- Analyze spatial data to generate geographic statistics for reports and presentations.
- Plan and execute data acquisition missions, process datasets, and create LiDAR mapping products and deliverables.
- Ensure proper classification, segmentation, and object extraction from LiDAR point clouds.
- Document and refine production workflows and processes to ensure repeatability and efficiency.
- Perform fieldwork, including drone and LiDAR technology operations, as required.
- Travel to client sites or remote locations as needed to support project objectives.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance application performance and stability.
- Contribute to new feature development and long-term planning for geospatial tools.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to adapt to evolving project requirements.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 3 years of experience operating drones and LiDAR equipment or similar technologies.
- Proficiency in LiDAR data processing and familiarity with GPS technology.
- Strong skills in 2D and 3D feature extraction, modeling, and visualization.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree or Certification in Geography, GIS, Remote Sensing, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to work from our Yorba Linda, CA office.
- Ability to travel to remote locations within the U.S. as needed.
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, DJI Terra, and Agisoft Metashape.
- Familiarity with geodatabase structure and geospatial solution design.
- Interest in automating repetitive workflows using scripting languages such as Python, Model Builder, or Arcade.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
Preferred:
- Background in multispectral imagery processing or surveying.
- Familiarity with RTK, ground control points, and base station operations.
- Experience or interest in machine learning for data classification and algorithm development.
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification.
- Exposure to mapping libraries or APIs (e.g., Google Maps, Mapbox, Leaflet).
- Experience with photogrammetry workflows and drone-based 3D modeling.
Benefits:

- PTO/Sick Time:
- 48 hours of sick time.
- 80 hours of PTO per year, accruing after the probationary period, increasing to 120 hours per year after 1 year of employment.
