Admissions Call Specialist -
This is an exciting opportunity to work in an environment that puts patient care first while also having the opportunity to grown, learn, and advance in your career. This is a Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm position on site.
At Arbour Hospital, we work diligently and compassionately to provide patients and their families with high-quality care and service excellence across a continuum of specialized behavioral health services. We have proudly served the residents of the greater Boston area since 1909. Our medical staff consists of psychiatrists who average 20 years of practice at our facility, providing a solid and trusted foundation for our patient-focused approach to behavioral healthcare. We stand ready to provide compassionate care through inpatient treatment and a strong continuum of aftercare services, community-based programs, and day treatment.

The Admissions Call Specialist is responsible for coordinating aspects of the admissions process. This includes but is not limited to efficient and effective handling of inquiry calls, scheduling outpatient assessments, processing of referrals for possible inpatient admission, knowledge of and communication with referral sources and customers who present for assessment. Additional responsibilities include insurance verification/precertification, patient registration process, vitals, wanding, patient observations, scheduling of evaluations, admissions processing, bed board monitoring, belongings searches, and other non-clinical duties as assigned by admissions leadership team.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health, or a related field
- Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in a human service, social service, psychiatric, or mental health setting, performing administrative duties, crisis intervention, telephonic triage and inquiries, and customer service.
