Arc Experience provides before and after school programs for youth throughout Southern California in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Imperial Valley.

This part-time role is ideal for individuals who have expertise in a specific discipline and a passion for teaching. We are looking for instructors in areas such as:
- Music (instrumental, vocal, or production)
- Nail Art & Design
- Sewing & Fashion Design
- Barbering
- Cosmetology & Hair Styling
- STEM (Robotics, Coding, Engineering)
- Theater & Drama
- Boxing & Self-Defense
- Weightlifting & Fitness
If you think you fit in any of these areas above, we would love to speak with you! These roles will work 1 to 2 hours a day, for 2 days a week or more! The Specialized Instructor is a part-time, non-exempt position. Pay is competitive and based on experience, and this role works with multiple schools around the South Los Angeles Region.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead hands-on, engaging lessons tailored to students in grades K-12.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment that builds confidence and skill.
- Adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
- Ensure student safety and proper use of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Serve as a mentor and role model, promoting discipline, teamwork, and creativity.
- Communicate with program coordinators and staff to align with program goals and schedules.
- Maintain classroom organization and track student progress.
- Encourage positive behavior and reinforce life skills, including responsibility and perseverance.
Qualifications:
- Must be fully vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine.
- Proven expertise and experience in the specialized field you will be teaching.
- Previous experience working with youth or teaching.
- Ability to create and deliver age-appropriate, engaging lessons.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for youth development and education.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality for scheduled sessions.
- At least one year of experience working in after-school programs or youth recreation, especially in ethnically and culturally diverse communities.
- To be a good communicator and be able to talk to both kids and parents comfortably.
- College transcripts that show you have 48 college credit units completed OR take and pass an academic proficiency exam.
- To get a TB test (and provide proof that it is negative), pass a Live Scan background check, and have a current vaccination for Covid 19 (boosters not required.).
