SUMMARY

The cold end forklift driver reports to the Cold End Foreman. The forklift driver operates an industrial forklift to move glassware, equipment and packaging to and from production lines, conveyor systems and other locations within the production area. The forklift operator is also responsible for removing and dumping cullet.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Safely transports product, materials and equipment to and from designated areas in the facility, identifying many types of in-process or finished product, packaging and moving them to required location.
• Follows all Forklift rules of operation reviewed in training; adheres to the Forklift Infraction Guidelines.
• Ensure ware, packaging or other items staged by the driver are delivered to the line when necessary; ensures no machine downtime due to missing ware, packing or other items.
• Removes and dumps the cullet hoppers.
• Scan all products and materials moved using company-provided RF units.
• Reports inconsistencies or problems to the Shift Foreman or Cold End Supervisor.
• Maintain organization of palletized products on the MSK machine and conveyor system.
• Complete daily pre-shift forklift inspection and note safety issues immediately.
• Other tasks as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Prior experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Prior forklift experience required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to lift, push, carry or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Forklift license (after successful completion of training at Arc)

Pay: From $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
