POSITION SUMMARY:
As a leader in the IT department the information Technology Manager is responsible for installing and maintaining computer hardware, software and networks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Running regular checks on network and data security
- Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems
- Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organization
- Designing training programs and workshops for staff
- Conducting regular system audits
- Running and sharing regular operation system reports with senior staff
- Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages
- Managing and reporting on allocation of IT budget
- Providing direction for IT team members
- Identifying opportunities for team training and skills advancement
- Other duties assigned
- Maintain concentration and focus in order to meet performance goals
- React positively to an ongoing, changing environment
- Demonstrate the ability to handle pressure when attempting to meet deadlines and performance goals
- Maintain good working relationship with assigned supervisors and coworkers
- Work safely without presenting a threat to self or others
- Perform additional duties as required by management from time to time
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS*
Education:
BA or BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration
Experience:
Eight (8) years of experience in information systems to include full life cycle methodology including standard office products such as Word and Excel, and some application development, project management experience, technical experience in networking, programming, system support, and technical project management experience preferably in a high-rate production/manufacturing environment. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Must have experience with Oracle.

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work will take place in an office environment and is generally temperature controlled with or without humidity control. Extensive use of the computer is required. Exposure and risk to health is minimal. Employee may be required to work weekends, holidays and be on-call on occasion.
