Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Escrow Manager to help lead our escrow staff. Escrow Manager / Officer position with a book of business. Escrow Manager will carry own desk and manage staff. We currently have an Escrow Manager. This is a Co-Manager position with Escrow Officer responsibilities.
This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
As an Escrow Co-Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) standards, escrow practices, and fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
Escrow Transaction Management:
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of the escrow process for real estate transactions, primarily residential sales -- REO, Probate, Trust, Standard, Mobile Home -- and refinances.
- Review and prepare escrow instructions, settlement statements, and other necessary documentation.
- Ensure that all conditions of the escrow agreement are met and verify the accurate distribution of funds.
- Liaise with parties involved, including buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, and title companies, to ensure the timely completion of all steps in the transaction.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the escrow process in a professional and timely manner.
Team Leadership & Supervision:
- Lead, mentor, and train a team of Escrow Officers and Escrow Assistants to ensure high standards of service and accuracy.
- Provide guidance on complex or challenging transactions and offer solutions to problems as they arise.
- Monitor workloads, set priorities, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Provide updates and reports to Ownership
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure all escrow transactions comply with relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all escrow transactions and ensure the proper handling of confidential information.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in industry regulations and best practices.
Customer Service & Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, real estate agents, and other parties throughout the escrow process.
- Provide clear and professional communication to ensure all parties are informed and comfortable with the progress of the transaction.
- Address any client concerns or issues, offering solutions and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Escrow Closing & Fund Distribution:
- Ensure proper disbursement of funds and handling of documents upon closing.
- Review all final documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate the recording of documents with the appropriate authorities, such as county recorder’s offices.
Requirements
- 10 Years in Escrow
- 2 Years as an Escrow Manager
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and a "client first perspective
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $72,000.00 - $96,000.00 per year
