Arc Health is on the lookout for a compassionate and dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide essential outpatient primary care services at our tribal partner outpatient facility. Position Highlights:

  • Short-Term/Locums Opportunity: Immediate availability upon credentialing. We are seeking a clinician who is board certified, culturally humble, and deeply committed to enhancing the quality of care for American Indian communities.
  • Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a predictable Monday to Friday schedule, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with one hour of admin time each day.
  • Patient-Centered Care: Make a difference with a typical daily patient load of 14 individuals.
  • Streamlined Documentation: Utilize the RPMS (Resource and Patient Management System) for electronic medical records.
  • Resources and Setting: While there are minimal on-site specialists (including podiatry and nephrology), the facility houses a small inpatient unit, with no ICU or surgery services.
  • Commitment: We are looking for someone who is adaptable and ready to meet the unique needs of this hospital, with a commitment to a minimum 12-week assignment.

Location & Population:

This exceptional opportunity is nestled within the Great Plains Indian Health Service area, within a 35-bed comprehensive medical/surgical facility. Serving as the primary source of healthcare for the Rosebud Sioux (Sicangu Oyate) tribal members in and around the Rosebud Sioux reservation, this hospital's mission is to elevate the physical, mental, social, and spiritual health of American Indians and Alaska Natives to the highest level.

Candidate Requirements:

We are seeking candidates who:

  • Are dedicated to rural, Tribal, and underserved healthcare, embodying the spirit of compassionate, mission-driven social medicine practitioners.
  • Hold board certification, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of care.
  • Possess an active, unrestricted state license and a valid, unrestricted DEA with schedule I-V.
  • Have maintained their licensure without loss or suspension, with no lapses in practice exceeding 6 months leading up to the assignment.
  • Are comfortable working with limited resources and support staff, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
