Medical Admin / Data Scrubber $17-$19hr
Nature and Scope
Medical Admin / Data Scrubber (MA / DS) performs health information activities necessary to organize, maintain and retrieve electronic and paper patient health records. The MA / DS will process and / or provide electronic health information pursuant to company policy and procedures in a timely manner, maintain paper and electronic health information in a confidential manner and secure environment. The MA / DS performs functions related to document imaging, chart retrieval, and chart prep for all clinic and mobile run exams. Data scrubbing all documents for errors while assisting the company and clientele under the direction of upper management by developing and maintaining positive working relationships with other departments, entities, physicians, and outside agencies. The MA / DS is expected to safeguard patient information and enforce privacy and confidentiality policies and practices and to adhere to company, federal and state guidelines.
Job Duties / Responsibilities :
- Use of data scrubbing techniques to identify and correct duplicates, missing signatures and / or values of incorrect data. Keen attention to detail.
- High acuity for task priority, deadlines, and problem solving
- Reach daily and weekly medical record prep / scanning goals
- Prepare basic client information, for chart prep including confirmation of phone numbers, email addresses, date of birth, and update AMD database accordingly
- Prepare lab forms, print any additional form need for run
- Alphabetize charts, identify proper chart order, and ect in regards to ARC paperwork
- Cross reference all project data with originals obtaining timely and highly accurate files before turning them into the next work flow person
- Assure forms have doctor signature, make sure patient names are spelled correctly throughout, identify format issues, and make sure all paperwork is present that corresponds with superbill
- Provide scrubbed superbills to the billing department in a timely manner
- When superbills are returned after billing, notate on master spreadsheet that the MA / DS review is complete for the client. back after billing is complete and mark down on master spreadsheet that completed
- Assures all files are checked and cross checked for errors and corrections.
- Other duties as assigned
