Facility Overview:
The Shiprock Service Unit is the largest geographical service unit within the Navajo Area Indian Health Service (NAIHS), serving a diverse population across New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah.
- The facility encompasses the Northern Navajo Medical Center (NNMC), a 60-bed hospital, and two health centers: Four Corners Regional Health Center and Dzilth-Na-O-Dith-Hle Health Center.
- The facility provides comprehensive care, including primary care, pediatrics, labor and delivery, intensive care, family practice, urgent care, mental health, dental, and more.

This position allows you to immerse yourself in a setting that respects and integrates cultural traditions into its care approach.
Engage in meaningful health education and outreach programs aimed at promoting wellness within the Native communities.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Mix of Outpatient and Inpatient schedule.
- Duration: 6-12 months of coverage, potential to extend.
- EMR: RPMS.
Requirements:
- Board certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM).
- Completed residency training.
- Valid state license and DEA.
- Active ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Ability to meet health requirements and pass background checks.
- Clean NPDP report.
