Job Summary: The Director of Quality Assurance is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing quality assurance programs that ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for Developmental Disabilities Division (DDD) services. This role leads efforts to maintain service excellence, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and safeguard the rights and well-being of individuals served.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive quality assurance programs that meet or exceed DDD requirements
- Lead internal audits and coordinate follow up to ensure compliance
- Create effective dashboards for tracking KPIs and key outcome indicators
- Prepare and present regular quality reports to leadership and board of directors
- Monitor service delivery metrics and outcome measures across all programs
- Investigate incidents, complaints, and adverse events, implementing corrective action plans as needed
- Provide training to staff on quality standards, person-centered approaches, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with program directors to establish quality improvement goals and strategies
- Create and maintain documentation systems that demonstrate compliance and service quality
- Stay current with changing regulations, best practices, and emerging trends in DDD services
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in regulatory compliance; familiar with Department of Human Services/Division of Developmental Disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices for Medicaid funded programs.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams and departments.
- Knowledge of incident reporting, quality assurance, and program evaluation techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in data tracking, reporting, and documentation tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to drive program success.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of program integrity, compliance, and incident reporting requirements.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
