We are seeking an experienced Conference Producer to lead the development and execution of our conference program. This role involves shaping the event's content strategy, collaborating with our executive board, and ensuring seamless session planning. The Conference Producer will oversee the call-for-proposals (CFP) process, speaker coordination, and the logistical execution of sessions to deliver a high-quality attendee experience.
This is a temporary position focused on supporting the success of the DA Leadership Network for Women event. The ideal candidate will bring a strong professional network, content curation expertise, and leadership skills to ensure the conference delivers meaningful professional development.

The DA Leadership Network for Women Conference is the premier platform for K-12 women leaders and aspiring leaders to thrive at every stage of their journey. With over 700 attendees from across the U.S., the conference empowers women in education through innovative professional development, actionable strategies, and unparalleled networking opportunities. The 2025 theme, "Flourishing in Every Season: Empowering Women. Transforming Education.", reflects our mission to inspire transformation and lasting impact.
This is a remote role, and work from a home office is permitted up to 5-days per week. Onsite presence is required during the event (September 24-26, 2025, at the Westin Downtown, Washington, DC).
Contract Term: March – October 2025
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Program Leadership
- Understand and execute the overall vision and content strategy for the conference, ensuring alignment with the event’s mission and theme.
- Represent the conference within the K-12 leadership community.
- Work closely with the Advisory Board, Track Leaders, and Event Team to ensure a cohesive, impactful program.
- Advocate for diverse and inclusive representation in sessions and speaker selection.
Content Development & CFP Management
- Oversee the Call for Proposals (CFP) process, develop a process for reviewing submissions and ensuring selections align with conference goals.
- Curate a variety of engaging, relevant, and impactful session types to meet the needs of all attendees.
- Work with speakers and facilitators to refine session content and formats for maximum audience engagement.
Speaker & Session Oversight
- Identify, recruit, and manage keynote speakers, panelists, and session facilitators.
- Ensure speakers are prepared and aligned with event expectations.
- Work in partnership with the Event Team, coordinate session schedules, formats, and speaker logistics.
Team Leadership
- Identify, onboard, and oversee conference track leads to manage specific content tracks (e.g., Teacher Leaders, Building Leaders, District Leaders, Superintendents, School Board Members).
- Provide guidance and support to track leads to maintain session quality and alignment with conference goals.
Onsite Leadership & Post-Event Evaluation
- Work with Program Manager to ensure onsite execution of the program, managing track leads and addressing any session-related issues.
- Collect and analyze post-event feedback to inform future programming improvements.
