Job Title: Waiver Service Program Manager
Supervisor: Director of Waiver Services
Supervises: Coordinators/QIDP/Direct Support Staff/Scheduling Staff
Location: Lafayette/St. Landry
Qualifications: A baccalaureate degree plus three years of professional-level experience managing personnel and working directly with people with intellectual disabilities.
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Waiver Services of Arc of Acadiana, the Program Manager provides direct oversight and supervision of all daily operations in the Waiver SIL Program. The Program Manager’s work performance will be evaluated at least annually by the Director of Waiver. The evaluation shall be a written evaluation.
- Oversee the scheduling of direct support staff, including arranging substitute staff when needed.
- Ensure the staff are not working more than 16 hours, unless approved by the Program Manager or Director.
- Assist with overseeing the Floaters schedules.
- Coordinate staff meetings and training with QIDP’s, Coordinators, Scheduling staff.
- Problem-solve with administrative and direct support staff to provide guidance/directions.
- Provide fiscal oversight for Waiver Service program.
- Communicate with the Director and other Program Manager on all relative matters.
- Receive guidance from the Director of Waiver Service on the goals of the organization.
- Problem-solve with other Managers when required to do so.
- Confer with the Director on major purchases.
- Communicate with appropriate agencies on licenses and permits.
- Attend any client meetings, association meetings, and committee meetings when necessary.
- Inform all Waiver staff of relevant matters.
- Attend conferences, workshops, and meetings applicable to Waiver Services when required.
- Evaluate the work performance of Schedulers, Coordinators, and QIDPs.
- Assist people seeking services.
- Conduct home visits when necessary.
- Ensure that all clientele are aware of and practicing their civil rights.
- Ensure appropriate backup staff/plans as well as evacuation plans are in place for all clientele.
- Ensure that all staff are properly supervised, trained, or licensed as required.
- Ensure that all necessary reports on each person receiving services are complete.
- Protect the confidentiality of information on people receiving services.
- Cooperate with State and Federal policies and regulations.
- Ensure all employee training requirements are met.
- Keep the Director informed of communication from all regulatory agencies.
- Ensure that clients have adequate assistance and support from all staff.
- Provide supervision of QIDP’s, Coordinators, and DSP’s in the implementation of service plans.
- Maintain the highest degree of integrity in all matters related to Arc of Acadiana and our clientele.
- Ensure end of the quarter and CPOC revisions are requested for additional services provided.
- Oversee documentation as required by licensing from Coordinator’s.
- Flexibility, exceptional written and verbal communications, organizational skills, and time management are required.
- Participate and accompany clients (as needed) on vacations, special events, and evacuations in the case of a natural disaster.
- After hours back-up calls – in rotation with other managers
- Any other job responsibilities and assignments as required by the Director.
