About the position:
As a Job Developer, you are a compassionate and proactive professional dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to reach their employment goals. Your passion for fostering independence and promoting community integration motivates you to create valuable job opportunities. With strong communication skills, you excel at building positive relationships with both clients and local businesses.
What You'll Do:
- Develop Employment Opportunities: Collaborate with local businesses to create inclusive job placements that align with the skills and aspirations of individuals with IDD.
- Personalized Employment Planning: Work closely with clients to understand their strengths and interests, developing tailored plans that promote independent living and community participation.
- Employer Education: Provide guidance to employers on best practices for supporting employees with disabilities, fostering inclusive workplace environments.
- Job Preparation Support: Assist clients with resume building, interview preparation, and other essential skills to enhance their employment readiness.
- Collaborative Transition Support: Partner with the Job Coach team to ensure seamless transitions from job placement to sustained employment, supporting clients throughout the process.
What You'll Bring:

- Educational Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Social Services, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiar with Canva and Asana platforms
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel locally to meet with clients and employers.
- Ability to assist clients with mobility or other physical needs in the workplace as required.
- Ability to work in various office and community settings.
