About the position:
As a Job Coach, you are a dedicated and empathetic professional committed to empowering individuals with IDD to achieve their employment goals and enhance their quality of life. Your supportive approach fosters independence and community involvement, aligning with The Arc's mission. With strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for mentorship, you thrive in guiding clients through their employment journey.
Starting pay is typically $16.50. Prior experience and/or training will be considered.
This is a part-time position, starting at 15-20 hours per week, with the potential to grow into a full-time role.
What You'll Do:
- On-the-Job Support: Provide individualized assistance to clients in their workplace, promoting skill development, job retention, and workplace integration.
- Employer Collaboration: Work closely with employers to ensure job accommodations are met and that clients receive the necessary support to succeed.
- Skill Development: Assist clients in acquiring and refining job-related skills, fostering independence and confidence in their roles.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve workplace challenges, advocating for clients and facilitating effective solutions.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and document client progress, adjusting support strategies as needed to ensure sustained employment success.

- Educational Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Social Services, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel locally, within Bute County, to meet with clients and employers.
- Ability to assist clients with mobility or other physical needs in the workplace as required.
- Ability to work in various office and community settings.
