The Arc of Essex County is a non-profit organization that provides services and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The Arc provides supports, direct care, supervision, and skill training for individuals living in a group residential program.
Job Description
Assists in the management and supervision more specifically focusing on the behavioral needs of all aspects of Camp Hope operation and implements the daily camp program to ensure a safe and enjoyable camp experience to a group of developmentally disabled individuals in accordance with the guidelines set forth by ARC/Essex,Department of Human Services/Division of Developmental Disabilities under
supervision of Camp Director, by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assists in the development, implementation and supervision of aspects of the camp program in accordance with the standards set for the by - ARC/Essex.
Provides supervision of all one-to-one camp staff whose main focus is to provide support to campers with more specific behavioral needs.
Assists in the supervision of the daily programmatic aspects of Camp
Hope to include but not be limited to the following: weekly specialists’ plans, weekly group plans, rainy day activities, weekly seasonal special events.
Performs any other responsibilities with are directly or indirectly related to the well being of the campers and which are suggested by the Camp Director
Qualifications
1- 3 years experience with behavioral issues; some supervisory experience preferred.
