Our Community Day Habilitation Direct Support Professionals have the opportunity of providing person-centered services to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities all while being able to explore, experience and discover what our community has to offer. Within this position, primary roles and responsibilities would include providing hands-on assistance, instruction and guidance, while supporting people as they work to reach their goals and fullest potential.
Ideal Candidate(s):
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid NYS driver's license, reliable vehicle (expected to be used while providing Community Habilitation Services), however, there is the opportunity to utilize agency vehicles.
- Has a passion for working with and creating positive, impactful relationships in the lives of the people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Exhibits positive approaches that provide encouragement, mentoring and instruction resulting in effectively achieving and maintaining independence and integration within the community.
