Celebrating 75 years as a non-profit provider of services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Onondaga County, Arc of Onondaga is looking to fill the position of Director of Community Supports.
As the Director of Community Supports, one would be responsible for the overall management of the agency's Day Habilitation, Community Habilitation, Respite, Family Support Services and Waiver Respite Programs for people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. This position serves as a member of the senior management team and supports the Programs and Services Officer in fulfilling the agency's goals and objectives.
The Director of Community Supports is responsible for developing and managing the Community Supports services for Arc of Onondaga, overseeing the individual program planning process to ensure appropriate provision of services that are of the highest quality. This position also manages the fiscal and administrative operations of the division with a focus on creating and growing programs to meet the needs and wants of the community. The Director of Community Supports provides supervision and counseling to a team of managers and operations staff.
Preferred Education & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Human Services or another related area plus five years of previous experience managing programs for people with developmental disabilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of OPWDD & HCBS Waiver services.
- Combination of education and experience which, in the judgement of the employer, equals the above standards.
- Valid NYS Driver's license.
