What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interventionist position at Arc of Washington County?
This is an Early Interventionist position through our Early Intervention Resource Agency, The Arc Washington County. The Early Intervention Program staff deliver developmental therapy services in families’ homes, childcare centers, and other community settings. There is also a virtual/telehealth option for the delivery of services. This is a direct service to families with an emphasis on adult learning principles. Qualifications include: Bachelor’s and/or master’s and/or doctorate degree in early childhood special education, early childhood education, child and family studies (child development), early intervention, deaf education or visual disabilities, speech language pathology, special education K-12, elementary education, communication disorders, and/or related field. Related field means a degree in social work, nursing, psychology, education administration, or sociology. Related field degrees require a minimum of 3 years documented experience working with children with disabilities 0-5 years of age and their families. Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
