This salaried, full-time (40 hours/week), Monday to Friday role will work at our primary office location on North Warson Road in Creve Coeur, Missouri.
What you will do:
- Use the Agency’s information systems to gather details of billable services.
- Process bimonthly voucher submissions in accordance with funder program guidelines for timely payments and billing.
- Compile and generate accurate and comprehensive financial reports.
- Collaborate with program coordinators and managers to review and verify reports prior to initiating billing or payment processes.
- Review collected data for completeness, accuracy, and ensure appropriate approvals have been obtained.
- Apply payments received to outstanding invoices within the accounting system.
- Track and manage pending billing issues, working closely with the Revenue Manager to resolve them.
- Maintain detailed and accurate billing records to support both funder and independent audits.
- Stay informed about funder contracts and private pay processes, maintaining a general understanding and working knowledge.
- Support additional duties as assigned to assist with the overall function of the Accounting Department.

What we expect of you:
The flexible, respectful individual we see is an innovative and quick thinker with these qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Two or more years of professional experience with accounting responsibilities
- Experience with government or grant funding preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, including data entry, data management and formula applications
- Proven ability to navigate across various business systems, such as case management software
- High attention to detail with an ability to spot errors and inconsistencies
- Knowledge of basic accounting practices and familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with team members across departments
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
